The study of the human habitat is the activity promoted by the artist Mihut Boscu through his latest replica of the famous dog Laika’s binnacle. The real size sculpture, that has the proportions and devices of the ship that Laika orbited on as a worldwide premiere, is made out of recycled materials, found objects that were modified with engineering precision.
The object created by Mihut is a monument of nomadism but also of human cruelty. It’s a reminder for the fact that man is a being deeply preoccupied by evolution.
Like the atomic bomb, Laika experiment redefines the 20th century’s coordinates.
